Lindale is a fast growing community in northeast Texas and is attributed to excellent schools, strategic location and a warm hometown community. Nestled in the pine and hardwood forests in the rolling hills of beautiful northeast Texas, just 13 miles northwest of Tyler in northern Smith County. The city is strategically situated at the intersection of U.S. 69 and I-20 with approximately 70,000 vehicles passing through per day, according to a recent TXDOT traffic study. Lindale continues to grow along U.S. 69 and the I-20 corridors. East Texas has an abundant water supply along with adequate and reliable utilities as well as significant parcels of open land, combined with excellent access to major highways. Lindale began seeing significant growth in the early 2000's and that growth continues today. In 2008, Tyler Junior College opened a satellite campus in Lindale and due to significant growth, expanded the current location in 2011 to provide additional classroom and office space. Visitors and residents alike enjoy playing golf, boating, fishing, community theater, festivals and sports throughout the area. The 170 acre Faulkner Park is one of the City parks located 4 miles north of Lindale. Park facilities include soccer and baseball fields, lighted tennis courts, volleyball and basketball courts, a pavilion, concession stand and a paved walking path around a scenic 15-acre lake. The Old Mill Pond Agricultural Museum is located just north of Lowes on Hwy 69. The museum is open on weekends and offers a large variety of historical agricultural artifacts, a mill museum, model railroad and other features.
